It is single housing unit in a multi-unit building. The owner holds sole title to the unit but owns land and common property such as elevators, halls, roofs, and stairs jointly with other unit owners and they shares the upkeep expenses on the common property/

A town house sometimes called apartment. It is constructed as two or more storey unit with a common wall or walls bordering the adjacent unit. Also, it shares a common roof, parking area and other outdoor spaces with other townhouses.
